Yesterday, May 12, 2016, the Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation(EBC), the State owned national television, reported the seizure of weapons cache from Eritrean government sponsored terrorist groups it claimed ” sneaked into the country through Moyale, Kenya”.
Unfortunately, the pictures of weapons shown on EBC, Ethiopia’s government-owned national television, are weapons seized by the United States 82nd Airborne Division in Fallujah, Iraq on January 3, 2004, in the volatile Sunni triangle during the U.S. Invasion of Iraq.

(EBC; May 12, 2016) – The Ethiopian National Intelligence and Security Service and Federal Police Counter-Terrorism Joint Taskforce said it has captured and killed Eritrean-backed terrorists while preparing to carry out a terrorist act.
The Taskforce said in a statement it issued on Wednesday that the terrorists were captured in a jungle at the southern tip of the country.
In its operation carried out on 6 May 2016, the Taskforce captured most of the terrorists with their armaments. Some of the terrorists who tried to escape were also killed.
According to the Taskforce, the terrorists who sneaked into the country through Moyale, Kenya, were preparing to carry out a terrorist act.
The terrorists, whose travel documents have been prepared by the Eritrean government, travelled to Uganda, and they made their way to Kenya before they arrived at their final destination, South Ethiopia.
This is not the first time that the Ethiopian forces captured terrorists and foiled planned terrorist plots.
Ethiopian forces have captured a number of Eritrea-backed terrorist groups while trying to sneak into the country through the northern part of the country as well.
