BARBARIC. An image grab taken from a video reportedly released by the Daesh Takfiri terrorist group (ISIS) on May 11, 2016, shows men described as Ethiopian Christians kneeling on the ground in front of masked terrorists on a beach at an undisclosed location in Libya
Press TV today reported that the Daesh Takfiri terrorist group, also known as Islamic State (ISIS), has released a new horrifying video purportedly showing the gruesome execution of at least 16 Ethiopian Christians in Libya.
The 29-minute video footage that was released on Wednesday (11) was composed of scenes from two different locations, one shot under some trees and the other one along a nearby seashore. In both locations, masked Islamic State militants made the separated groups of victims kneel in front of them.
In first scene, the video shows a group of Ethiopian Christians, in black dresses kneeling down as their arms were tied back. While at their backs, stood masked ISIS terrorists holding rifles which pointed towards their captives’ heads.
In a statement read by one of the Takfiris, the victims, dressed in orange and black, were described as “followers of the cross from the enemy Ethiopian Church,” who neither pay a compulsory religious tax nor convert to what terrorists call Islam.
In another scene, more Ethiopian Christians can be seen dressed in orange jumpsuits and standing on the shores of Barqa. Another scene shows a narrator giving references to fatwas that proclaimed all Christians “infidels.”
Afterwards an ISIS militant who is supposedly one of groups’ leaders is shown stating, “The dealings of the Islamic State with Christians under its authority is according to Allah’s Sharia [Islamic law]. Jizya [tribute] is imposed on those who accept, and war on those who resist.”
Then, they executed those under trees by shooting in the back of their heads and decapitated the second group on the beach.
This is not the first time IS terrorists committed such grisly crimes against Ethiopian Christians in Libya. Back in April, a similar video was released by ISIS militants showing terrorists carrying out two separate executions of some 30 Ethiopians through shooting and beheading.
ISIS, which controls large swathes of Iraq and Syria, has seized upon the chaos and lawlessness to fan out through Libya and seize control of its northern city of Sirte.
